Effect of Water pH on Domestic Machine Washing Performance of Delicate Textiles

Abstract In order to investigate the effect of washing water pH on textile damage for delicate garments, study was conducted such that a customer survey first applied randomly selected users analyze domestic machine using habits Turkish consumers. Based findings survey, experimental designed in two successive phases dimensional and mechanical behavior certain types textiles against varying conditions by taking particular, properties, namely pH, hardness, temperature into account, accordingly determine optimized textiles. Firstly, tergotometer employed as simulator. Within light results obtained, work second phase conducted, which involved real-life scenario. All results, including correlation between data sets obtained from trials, were statistically analyzed Minitab 17. The produced some important regarding textiles, addition an algorithm improving present program, minimizing mainly wool silk garments.
